OXFORD, Ohio -- A man walked into a store in Monday and shot two people, critically wounding one of them, police said.

Oakley Potter, 44, was captured in a wooded area a mile from the Kroger store about 45 minutes after the 7:30 p.m. incident occurred, police said.

Debbie Diaz, 30, was shot in the head and was in critical condition at University Hospital in Cincinnati.

Dennis Anderson, 35, was shot in the shoulder and was in fair condition at McCullough-Hyde Hospital in Oxford, police said.

Police said Diaz and Anderson were shopping in the store. Police said they had no idea what prompted the shootings.

Potter was being held in the Butler County Jail, and authorities planned to charge him with attempted aggravated murder.
