VANCOUVER -- The Vancouver Canucks fired rookie coach Bill Laforge Wednesday after the National Hockey League team's worst start in its 15-year history.
LaForge, who led the team to 14 losses, four wins and two ties in the first 20 games of the season, was replaced by general manager Harry Neale.

Neale also assumed coaching duties with the team at the end of last season following the firing of former coach Roger Nielson.
