Engler, a native of Laramie, Wyo., who attended the University of Wyoming, refused to sign with the Tornados and expressed a desire to play for the Wildcatters.

Jackson, 6-feet, 3-inches, played for the University of California at Los Angeles. Derick Polk, 6-foot, 1-inch, played for Ohio State University.

The Tornadoes also picked up Tim Davidek, a 6-foot, 8-inch forward from Aquinas College in Michigan, as a free agent.
