NEW YORK -- Morton Dean, a longtime correspondent and news anchor for CBS, is leaving the network to go with INN, it was announced Tuesday.
Dean will join Pat Harper in anchoring prime time INN weeknight newscasts, seen in 83 markets across the country.
John R. Corporon, president of INN, said the contract was signed Monday. Dean is expected to make his debut on INN the week of Jan. 7.
Dean joined the staff of WCBS-TV in New York in 1964, and went over to the CBS network in 1967. For the last nine years he has anchored the CBS Sunday evening newscasts, and for the last eight has anchored editions of CBS's 'Newsbreak.'
