Sting, lead singer of the rock group Police, was in London this week to wrap up his role in the movie 'The Bride' with Jennifer Beals, and to begin shooting another flick, 'Plenty,' with Meryl Streep.
One evening after a shoot he decided to drop in at the British rock 'n roll haven, Dingwalls, for a few drinks. Feeling goofy, and looking quite red-eyed, he stumbled over to some Australian rockers, the Triffids. 'Excuse my current state,' he told them, 'but I only go out twice a year.'
