PHILADELPHIA -- Dean Demopoulos has been named a full-time assistant men's basketball coach at Temple University, athletic director Gavin White has announced.

Demopoulous, who served as a graduate assistant last year, will also assist in advance scouting and recruiting, according to head coach John Chaney.

Demopoulos, 30, attended the University of Hartford and West Chester State. He played basketball in Greece before returning to the United States in 1982 and enrolling in Temple's graduate school.
