CHICAGO -- The Chicago Bears have acquired punter Dave Finzer from the San Diego Chargers in return for an undisclosed draft choice, team officials announced Wednesday.

Finzer, a 1982 graduate of DePaw University, tried out with the Bears in 1983 before joining the Chargers. He punted six times for 41.1 average in the first two games of the 1984 pre-season for San Diego.

The Bears also announced the signing of wide receiver Dave Moritz of Iowa. Moritz, a 10th-round draft choice, had beeen placed on waivers by the San Francisco 49ers.
