EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. -- New York Giants' offensive lineman Gordon King may be lost to the team for the 1984 season because of surgery on his left forearm.

King will be operated on for the second time next week to re-plate a non-healing radial fracture in his left forearm. Following the operation, his arm will be placed in a cast for 8-to-12 weeks.

King started 47 straight games before suffering the injury last December.
