Frank Farmiano of Schenectady, N.Y., pinned Brian Gust of...

MINNEAPOLIS -- Frank Farmiano of Schenectady, N.Y., pinned Brian Gust of Lakeville, Minn., in 17 seconds in a third-round match Friday at the final qualifying Greco-Roman wrestling Olympic Trials tournament.

The pin in the 125.5-pound weight class was the fastest of the tournament, which includes 146 wrestlers.

The tournament concludes Saturday with fifth- and sixth-round matches and a final round.

The top six finishers in each weight class advance to the Olympic Trials June 16 at Grand Valley State College in Allendale, Mich.

In a 114.5-pound match, Randy Ohta of Molalla, Ore., upset Jeff Clark of Voorheesville, N.Y., taking an 8-5 decision. That was the first loss for the top-seeded Clark in the double-elimination tournament.

James Martinez of Brooklyn Park, Minn., scored 14 points in 39 seconds to defeat John Placek of Schenectady 14-0.
