Nothing much bothers Boy George but a parody of his hit song 'Karma Chameleon' had his lawyers on the phone with Milwaukee radio station WBTT-FM pronto.
The parody is titled 'I'm a Milwaukeean.' It touts the local sports teams and concludes 'I'm a man with an addiction to beer and brats and sauerkraut.' Program director Rick Harris says lawyers were concerned with preserving Boy George's image, 'whatever that is.' He says WBTT-FM pulled the parody pending Boy George's approval, rather than risk losing its license for copyright infringement, but hopes to work out a compromise. Meanwhile, the station has boycotted all songs of the British singer's Culture Club group and even smashed some of its albums on the air.
