LOS ANGELES -- The late actor Vic Morrow's two daughters won a settlement of their lawsuit against Warner Bros. studios and others involved in the 1982 helicopter copter crash that killed Morrow and two children on a movie set.

Attorney Robert Irmas said Carrie Morrow, 22, and Jennifer Jason Lee, 24, Thursday accepted the out-of-court settlement of their suit claiming negligence and wrongful death against Warner Bros., director John Landis, helicopter pilot Dorcey Wingo and others involved in filming of 'The Twilight Zone' movie.

Sources said the two sides had agreed to pay the women $850,000. Warner Bros., which made the settlement without any admission of wrongdoing, refused comment.

Morrow, 54, died during filming of a segment requiring staged ground explosions. He was decapitated by the rear rotor blade of a helicopter when the craft was damaged by debris hurled up from the blasts.

The accident also killed two children Morrow was carrying, Renee Chen, 6, and My-Ca Dinh Le, 7. The parents of the children still have wrongful death actions pending in Superior Court.

The Federal Aviation Administration tagged Wingo with 11 violations in a bid to revoke his license, but a judge later dismissed 10 of them and granted Wingo the right to seek a hearing before the National Transportation Safety Board.

Producer George Folsey Jr., unit production manager Dan Allingham, special effects chief Paul Stewart, Landis and Wingo were indicted by the county grand jury last June for involuntary manslaughter in connection with the accident.

A preliminary hearing for the men is scheduled before Superior Court Judge Ronald George Jan. 9.
