She said the airline temporarily suspended service late Thursday, and lost one flight early Friday.

'Only one flight didn't go out and it would not have anyway because of the fog at Los Angeles International Airport this morning,' she said.

The nature of the airline's financial problems was not disclosed.

'It was a close call, but it worked out for everybody,' Miss Ray said. 'Everything seems fine and back on the track and we're not out of busineess.'

The company plans to initiate flights between San Francisco and Honolulu Feb. 19, she added.

Hawaii Express, which started up in August 1982 with an all-coach service on Boeing 747s, promised not to be undersold on the trans-Pacific route. TWA handles handles maintenance and ground work for the airlines in both Los Angeles and Honolulu.
