GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. -- A member of the Temptations, one of Motown's hottest acts in the late 60s and early 70s, was arrested Monday on charges of not supporting his former wife.
Richard Street, 41, was arrested following the group's second performance in Grand Rapids' DeVos Hall Sunday.
Street and a bodyguard attempted to flee the auditorium following the performance. They were chased by an officer, said police Lt. Victor Gillis. Police arrested the bodyguard on charges of hindering a police officer after Street surrendered.
Street spent the night in jail and the bodyguard was freed on $100 bond.
A spokesman for the Kalamazoo County Circuit Court said Street was wanted on bench warrants issued in a civil suit filed by his former wife who lives in Kalamazoo County.
