Nose tackle Emanuel Weaver was placed on the injured reserve list and will be lost for the entire season.

Ten rookies, draft picks No. 1 through 10, made the final roster - Nebraska center Dave Rimington, WasOington cornerback Ray Horton, UCLA cornerback Jimmy Turner, Michigan State linebacker Steve Maidlow, Eastern Illinois quarterback Jeff Christensen, Tennessee State fullback Larry Kinnebrew, Middle Tennessee safety James Griffin, Illinois wide receiver and punt returner Mike Martin, Oklahoma halfback Stanley Wilson and Wisconsin nose tackle Tim Krumrie.

Fuller was a nine-year veteran safety and punt returner, BujnocO was an eight-year veteran offensive lineman and St. Clair was an eight-year veteran defensive end.

Simmons was a third-year veteran cornerback and Wagner a second-year veteran offensive lineman.

King, a nose tackle, and Roberts, a linebacker, were both first-year players this year after they missed their entire rookie seasons because of injuries.

Gustafson was a rookie wide receiver from St. Thomas College, Gibler a rookie tight end from Missouri and Young a rookie linebacker from Bowling Green.

Cincinnati opens the regular season Sunday at home against the Los Angeles Raiders.

The Bengals, for the first time in the 16-year history of the franchise, lost all their pre-season games. The final loss, 34-7 to the Detroit Lions Saturday night, angered head coach Forrest Gregg.

'It was the worst exhibition of football that I have ever witnessed in my life,' said Gregg. 'I searched, but the only positive note I found on the game is that the damn thing is over.

'Offensively, we were atrocious. That's the best way to describe it. As far as our passing game is concerned, it's non-existent.'

The Bengals, who were penalized 16 times for 103 yards, punted 10 times.
