NO CARMEN

That wasn't Carmen Miranda giving the weather forecast on NBC's 'Today' show Monday morning -- it was weather man Willard Scott dressed up like the late Brazilian bombshell.

It seems Scott used to dress up like Miranda as a kid to sell war bonds in World War II. Probably he was thinner then. He promised to don his Miranda outfit if a viewer donated $1,000 to the USO. The donation was made. To quote the title of another Latin hit, 'South America, take it away.'
