PHILADELPHIA -- Ted Sator, who has coached hockey in Sweden, was named an assistant coach with the Philadelphia Flyers, the team announced Sunday.
Sator, 33, a native of Utica, N.Y., coached for Rogle, Sweden, last year.

'Ted has one of the most outstanding hockey minds I have ever encountered,' Flyers coach Bob McCammon said. 'He is also a power skating expert which gives us a dimension we've never had before.'
Sator is a graduate of Bowling Green University, where he played hockey. He was also selected as a member of the U.S. World University team while a student.
Details of the agreement were not announced.
