WHITE PLAINS, N.Y. -- Paul David 'Ace' Frehley, lead guitarist of the rock group Kiss, posted $500 bond Monday on drunken and reckless driving charges and was released from jail.
Frehley, 32, was involved in a 'minor accident' Saturday in his $25,000DeLorean sports car and afterward led police on a high-speed chase through White Plains, police Sgt. Martin Egan said.
Police approached the guitarist near Bank and Main streets in White Plains after they found him in his car apparently arguing with the driver of the car he had struck.
Frehley raced off at speeds up to 90 mph, Egan said.
After going south for a few miles, the rock star turned around and headed north, driving around a roadblock that was set up to stop him, police said.
Police lost Frehley shortly after he eluded the roadblock, but were contacted 20 minutes later by a driver who said he saw Frehley leaving a 'beat-up' car less than 1 miles from the scene of the accident.
Police arrived and arrested him.
Authorities said no one was injured during the chase but several drivers reported their vehicles were hit by Frehley's car.
