UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. -- Brian Hill, head basketball coach at Lehigh for the past eight years, has been named an assistant coach at Penn State.
The appointment of Hill was announced Wednesday by Bruce Parkhill, who was named head coach last Sunday.

Hill, 35, compiled a record of 75-131 at Lehigh. His 1980-81 team finished 15-12, the university's best record in 65 years.
A graduate of Kennedy College in Nebraska, Hill served as a high school coach in his native New Jersey before being named an assistant at Lehigh for the 1974-75 season. He was appointed head coach the next year.
