WICHITA, Kan. -- Antoine Carr scored a career-high 47 points in his final college game Saturday night, leading Wichita State to a 109-83 Missouri Valley Conference victory over Southern Illinois.
Carr had his jersey retired after the game.
Wichita State ended its season with a 25-3 record and a 17-1 MVC mark. SIU is now 9-18 and 5-13 in league play.
The Shockers clinched the league title last week, but are ineligible for any NCAA post-season play because they are on a three-year probation.
Carr snapped the single-game scoring mark of 46 points set by Dave Stallworth against Cincinnati on Feb. 16, 1963.
The forward scored 24 points in the first half when his team raced to a 52-37 lead. SIU could get no closer than 11 points the rest of the way.
Southern Illinois had four players in double figure scoring, led by reserve Benny Smith's 18 points.
