NEW YORK -- Actress Raquel Welch suffered a miscarriage while vacationing in the Caribbean last month and has returned to New York City, a spokesman for the actress said today.
Ms. Welch, 42, who left the hit Broadway musical 'Woman of the Year' because of her pregnancy, lost the baby three weeks ago while on vacation with her husband Andre Weinfeld on the island of Mustique, the spokesman said.

Ms. Welch and her husband returned over the weekend to their apartment on Manhattan's East Side.
Ms. Welch left the musical Jan. 2 after announcing she was expecting her third child. She has a son, Damon 22, and a daughter, Tahnee, 20.
Welch had replaced Lauren Bacall in the lead role of the musical.
