CHATSWORTH, Calif. -- Micro Peripherals Inc. said Monday it has acquired in return for MPI stock assets of the floppy disk magnetic recording head operations of Information Magnetics Corp., a subsidiary of Computer & Communications Technology Corp.

CCT will obtain a minority position in MPI, but other terms of the transaction were not disclosed. ---
