Thousands of paparrazi's camera lights illuminated her way.

Before the pageant, Miss USA said that she preferred not to win. 'Just being Miss U.S.A., I can achieve my goals,' said the 20-year-old Miss Utley. 'I can develop myself better and faster in my own country.'

Security for the contest was doubled Sunday following terrorist bombings of the U.S. Embassy Saturday night, organizers said.

All cars entering the site of the pageant were searched and police carried out spot searches on audience members as they arrived.
