Logan replaces Cindy Perkins, who resigned as basketball coach. Logan played in the WBL with the Chicago Hustle and more recently with the Tucson Storm, where she was a player-coach.

Logan is credited with developing the smaller, lighter basketball which is used by the WBL. She also defeated Jerry West of the NBA in a basketball shooting contest that was nationally televised as part of the CBS 'Battle of the Sexes.'

Cottle replaced Marilyn McReavy and Mary Jo Peppler as head of the volleyball program. She has been head volleyball coach for the past two years at the University of Nevada-Reno.
