JERUSALEM -- Alan Harry Goodman, the American-born Israeli accused of the Easter Sunday attack on the Dome of the Rock mosque, appeared in court today and was ordered held for another 15 days of questioning.

'Forward, Israel,' Goodman shouted as he was taken into the Jerusalem magistrates court guarded by 10 policeman.

Goodman, 37, a native of Baltimore, Maryland, was driven to the the court for his second brief appearance since the Dome shooting.

Two Arabs, watching him enter, shouted curses at him calling it a sin to desecrate a mosque.

Two Arabs were killed on Easter at the mosque during Goodman's shooting spree with an M-16 rifle. The police have said they have proof that one of the Arabs was not killed by the gunman, but they did not say who might have fired the shots killing the other Arab.

The Temple Mount on which the Dome of the Rock sits was littered with hundreds of shells from bullets shot in the air by security police to clear the area and seize the gunman.

The mosque attack touched off several days of rioting throughout the occupied West Bank and Gaza Strip.

Goodman has been been described by his former Hebrew teacher in Israel as contentious. Others called him a loner. He came to Israel seven years ago.
