Actor Vince Edwards was placed on three years' probation...

LOS ANGELES -- Actor Vince Edwards was placed on three years' probation after pleading no contest to charges he failed to pay child support for his 16-year-old daughter.

Municipal Court Judge L.C. Nunley also ordered the old 'Ben Casey' television series star Monday to pay $5,000 in overdue child support payments to his former wife, Kathy Kersh, Woodland Hills.

Edwards, whose real name is Vince Edward Zoino, must continue monthly $400 support payments until his daughter, Devera Allene Edwards, reaches the age of 18.

Charging 'mental cruelty,' Miss Kersh filed for divorce four months after she married Edwards June 15, 1965.
