LOS ANGELES -- Comedian Paul Lynde, who died of a massive heart attack earlier this month, left the bulk of his estate to family members in the form of a trust but left nothing for his brother.
Lynde's will, dated Oct. 6, 1965, and the amount unknown, was filed in Superior Court Monday, naming executors as Paul Gilbert and City National Bank.
The will, specifying that he had no surviving parents, wife or children, left the trust to his sisters, Grace Rice of Mount Vernon, Ohio, and Helen Lynde of Santa Monica, Calif.
In addition, a $10,000 bequest was left to Douglas Lynde, adopted son of his brother, Richard Lynde, contingent upon the younger Lynde's entering college prior to the age of 35.
Richard was specifically disinherited, but no reason was given.
Other bequests included Lynde's art collection, furniture and dog, which went to his sister, Helen. His clothing, personal effects and jewelry were bequeathed to Ralph Rice, Grace's husband.
