COLUMBUS, Ohio -- Bo Schembechler will soon be selling pizza at Ohio State, it was reported today.

The Columbus Citizen-Journal reported that the Michigan football coach is taking over a pizza parlor near the Ohio State campus.

Schembechler, who turned down a $2.5 million offer from Texas A&M last week, has been given a Domino's Pizza franchise, reportedly worth $150,000, the newspaper said.

'He resisted, but I insisted,' said Tom Monaghan, a Michigan booster who is president of the chain that has its home office in Ann Arbor.

Monaghan said he thought he should help make up the difference for Schembechler turning down the Texas offer.

Monaghan said that Schembechler protested it was 'too much', but the owner said he told Schembechler it was his.

'We had a handshake on the deal and now I have to draw up the papers,' said Monaghan.

Richard Patton, assistant manager of the pizza parlor in Columbus told the Citizen-Journal, 'I've been told not to talk about it, but if it's not true, somebody's been doing a good job' of spreading the news.
