PHILADELPHIA -- Horn & Hardart Baking Co., which in 1902 pioneered the use of automats in the United States, has filed its second reorganization under bankruptcy laws in a decade.

Horn & Hardart, which filed its voluntary Chapter 11 petition Thursday in U.S. Bankruptcy Court in Philadelphia, owes $598,729 to its 10 largest creditors, said firm attorney Lisa Heyman.
