GARY, Ind. -- Two high scoring teams are in command at the Senior Little League World Series.
Georgetown, Del., and Danville, Calif., were the only unbeaten entries in the double-elimination competition and will meet tonight for the winners' bracket berth in Saturday's finals.
Georgetown beat Taylor, Mich., 12-2, and Danville outlasted Aruba, Venezuela, 10-7. Fort Meyers, Fla., eliminated Shape, Belgium, 7-0, behind the three-hit pitching of Eric Yankovic.
Inother games today, Florida plays Venezuela and Taiwan returns to meet Michigan.
Danville overcame a pair of home runs by Richard Brokka to capture the nightcap. For the Californians, Mike Meyers who collected three doubles to drive in four runs. Erik Johnson went 3-for-3 and scored three runs.
Kevin Duperron doubled home two runs for the Deleware entry, the East champion. He also had two other hits. Georgetown's John Young scattered six hits for the win.
