The wife and son of a cameraman killed during...

LOS ANGELES -- The wife and son of a cameraman killed during the filming of 'The Dukes of Hazzard' television series sued Ford Motor Co. and the producers of the show for $3.5 million damages Wednesday.

The Superior Court suit said Rodney Mitchell was a passenger in a Ford camera crew truck when the truck overturned and killed him. The suit said the vehicle had manufacturing defects.

Eleanor Mitchell and her 8-year-old son Lance filed the wrongful death suit against various individuals and companies involved in the series including Warner Communications, Burbank Studios, Columbia Pictures, CBS and Ford Motor Co.
