AUSTIN, Texas -- A Florida homosexual who fought singer Anita Bryant over gay rights says an organization he helped establish -- the Oral Majority -- will now do battle with the Moral Majority.

Bob Kunst of Gainesville, Fla., said Wednesday the Moral Majority did not have that much influence in the last election and accused it of trying to dictate to people how they should live their lives.

'Such tyranny is holding all Americans hostage to hard-core violent crimes, while lawbreakers catering to the Moral Majority pass inane victimless crime laws and add to the inflationary waste of trying to regulate peoples' lives and loves when it is none of their business in the first place,' Kunst said.

Kunst also said 'sexual politics' was now a key issue in state and national government. He said many legislators practice 'blatant hypocrisy' by trying to dictate how people should live.

'There is nothing more absurd than telling people how to live and love,' he said.

Kunst said the naming of his organization was deliberate and explained that gays are now willing to confront their detractors.

He also said he did not forsee a backlash from the public because of the name and what members of the Moral Majority might say about the Oral Majority.
