NEW YORK -- Ed Stransenback, the press services director for the l980 Winter Olympics at Lake Placid, N.Y., has been named director of Olympic operations for the 1984 Summer Games in Los Angeles by the Mutual Radio Sports Network.

Stransenback will serve in a consulting capacity while assisting with the setup of broadcasting operations for the Games.
