TORONTO -- The Toronto Maple Leafs, in an attempt to bolster their lineup for the playoff drive, have acquired NHL veteran Ron Sedlbauer.

The Leafs, who have lost wingers Rene Robert and Dan Maloney to injuries recently, Wednesday announced the purchase of the left winger from the Chicago Black Hawks.

Sedlbauer will report for practice Thursday, said Obodiac.

Sedlbauer, a native of Burlington, Ont., has scored 13 goals for Chicago this season, leaving him far behind his pace of two years ago when he scored 40 goals while playing for Vancouver.

He was traded to Chicago by the Vancouver Canucks Dec. 21, 1979 for Dave Logan and Harold Phillipoff. Sedlbauer had spent six years in Vancouver between trips to the minors at Tulsa.
