'Miracle on Ice' parents watch game-winning shot every week

WINTHROP, Mass. -- It's been nearly a year since Mike Eruzione scored the goal that lifted the U.S. Olympic hockey team to a 4-3 upset victory over the Soviet Union, but his parents are still reveling in the glory of the shot.

Eruzione's parents have captured the joy of the victory over the Russians on videotape.

And 10 months later, they still relive the thrill by watching the tape on Sundays.

'You'd say we'd be used to it by now,' says Mike's father, Eugene. 'But I look at my wife at the end and every Sunday morning it's the same; she's crying all over again.'

Mrs. Eruzione says she and her husband don't watch it every Sunday, 'but we do see it at least three times a week. We like to watch it when the kids aren't home because they laugh at us. But we love it.'
