CINCINNATI -- A former nightclub bouncer says he doubts he'll ever get the $1,500 in damages ex-Cincinnati Reds pitcher Pedro Borbon has been ordered to pay him.

Hamilton County Common Pleas Court Judge William Matthews Thursday ordered Borbon to pay the money to John Topits, who claimed Borbon bit him on the chest when he tried to break up a night club fight in May 1979.

However, even Borbon's attorney is not sure where the baseball player is.

John J. Kelley Jr. said he believes his client is playing baseball in the Caribbean, but added, 'I'm not in day-to-day communication with him.'

Topits, 22, said he had to pay $125 in medical bills and has a permanent scar as a result of the incident. But he expressed doubt he would ever get a penny from the former Reds relief pitcher.

He had sought $15,000 in compensatory damages and $100,000 in punitive damages from Borbon.
