LEXINGTON, Ky. -- Brian Clark redeemed himself and shattered Kentucky's hopes for an upset Saturday with a 34-yard field with only one second remaining that lifted Florida to a 17-15 come-from-behind Southeastern Conference victory.

Two minutes earlier, Clark missed on a 31-yard attempt, which would have given the Gators the lead.

When his boot sailed to the left of the uprights, Kentucky appeared in control with only 2:26 remaining.

But Cris Collinsworth set up the game-winning score when he hauled in a pass from Quarterback Wayne Peace at the sidelines with just 6 seconds to go. Collinsworth's catch capped a furious Florida comeback drive starting from its own 32 with only 34 seconds left to play.

Kentucky claimed the lead for only the second time in the game after a bizarre exchange of turnovers left the Wildcats with the ball on their own 6.

Wildcat Quarterback Larry McCrimmon was intercepted by Kyle Knight at the Florida 2, but on the very next play, Doug Kellom fumbled to give the ball back over to Kentucky.

Charlie Jackson swept in from the 6 to give Kentucky a 15-14 lead with 8:06 remaining. McCrimmon was tackled short of the goal line on his 2-point conversion attempt.

Kentucky's other scores came on field goals by Tom Griggs of 20, 36 and 40 yards. Florida's first score was made on a James Jones 2-yard run with 3:39 left in the opening period. Clark tacked on the extra point.

Peace connected with wide receiver Tyrone Young on a 28-yard scoring pass with 7:24 remaining in the first half. Again, Clark made the extra point.

The win gives Florida a 17-2 record overall and raises its SEC mark to 4-2. Kentucky, meanwhile, fell to 3-7 overall and 1-4 in league play.
