NEW YORK -- The CBS-Broadcast Group announced Monday Robert L. Hosking has been named to succeed Sam C. Digges as president of the CBS Radio Division.

Hosking, now vice president of affiliate relations for the CBS television network, will replace Digges when he retires on Jan. 31.

Gene Jankowski, president of the CBS-Broadcast Group, said in announcing the move: 'We carefully and deliberately weighed all the issues and believe Bob will do as much for CBS radio in the years ahead as Sam did in the decade behind us.'

Hosking, a 22-year veteran of CBS, will join the CBS Radio Division on Nov. 3 as executive vice president and work with Digges until his retirement.
