ST. LOUIS -- Four teams _ New York, Houston, Iowa and Milwaukee _ have dropped out of the Women's Professional Basketball League and will not compete during the 1980-81 season, a spokesman says.

The remaining nine teams all have met strict financial standards set by the league's Board of Governors, the spokesman said Wednesday.
