Georgia Democrat proposes Douglas impeachment
WASHINGTON, June 19, 1953 (UP) - A Georgia Democrat's proposal for the impeachment of Supreme Court Justice William O. Douglas was turned over to a House judiciary subcommittee today for study and possible hearings.Cong. Louis E. Graham (R., Pa.) was named chairman. He doubted that a subcommittee meeting would be held until after the Supreme Court renders a decision in the Rosenberg case.
Rosenbergs eating when word comes
OSSINING, N.Y., June 19, 1953 (UP) - Julius and Ethel Rosenberg had just completed a 90-minute visit and were at lunch today when word came over the prison radio that the Supreme Court had refused to spare them from death in Sing Sing Prison's electric chOssining Chief of Police Spencer Purdy blocked off the main access road to the prison immediately after receiving news that the Rosenbergs' stay had been canceled.

PARIS, June 20, 1953 (UP) -- Communist-led crowds swarmed through European streets last night and early today in generally orderly demonstrations protesting the execution of atom spies Julius and Ethel Rosenberg.A French teen-ager was shot and wounded and 386 persons were arrested in Paris, and two bottles of kerosene were thrown through the window of the U.S. Information Service Office in Dublin, but demonstrations elsewhere were relatively uneventful.
