Truman offers Eisenhower plane to fly to Korea
WASHINGTON, Nov. 5, 1952 (UP) - President Truman today congratulated Dwight D. Eisenhower on his election and offered him the presidential plane the Independence to fly to Korea.Eisenhower had said that if elected he would go to Korea to try to find a solution to the war.
Eisenhower is fourth-oldest man elected president
WASHINGTON, Nov. 5, 1952 (UP) - Dwight Eisenhower, at 62, is the fourth oldest man to be elected to the presidency.William Henry Harrison was 68 when inaugurated. James Buchanan was 65 and Zachary Taylor 64.

WASHINGTON, Nov. 5, 1952 (UP) - Dwight David Eisenhower was elected 34th president of the United States today in a landslide that cracked the "Solid South" and breached Democratic defenses across the continent.
President Eisenhower takes recess from test
Eisenhower, first chief executive ever to fly in a helicopter while in office, was reported to have enjoyed the flight.
