PARIS, Aug. 29, 1928 (UP) - Reaffirmations of faith in the Kellogg anti-war pact continued arriving in Paris today, from all parts of the world as the last of the visiting diplomats, who signed the treaty Monday, prepared to leave for their homes.
This move to halt aggressive warfare already has gained momentum. Forty-nine nations, besides the original signatories, have been invited to become a part of this major move to bring a universal peace. Many nations already have indicated their desire to line up with the great powers.
Two South American countries and Mexico are reported to have been waiting eagerly for the invitation to adhere to International peace.
Russia is one of the great powers not among the original signatory nations, who has been invited to join the plan. The invitation was presented Russia through the French ambassador in Moscow and M. M. Litvinoff, the assistant commissar of foreign affairs, requested much documentary correspondence for the study of the Russian government.
Reports from Moscow today were to the effect that Russia had requested this correspondence merely to make a better study of the provisions and plans as outlined in the plan that was submitted by United States Secretary of State Frank B. Kellogg.
From throughout the world the messages of accord for the anti-war plan have come into Paris. Statesmen and private citizens have advised their pleasure at this great gesture.
