INDIANAPOLIS, April 21 (UPI) -- An earthquake registering 4.5 on the Richter scale shook southern Indiana and Illinois early Monday, the latest in a string of quakes rattling the region.
Authorities said the quake, the 18th since a 5.2 magnitude temblor Friday, was about 6 miles below ground and about 125 miles southwest of Indianapolis, the U.S. Geological Survey said.
No injuries were reported and damage was minor, CNN said.
"Everything just started rumbling and things at my house started shaking," Keith Potter of Santa Claus, Ind., -- about 55 miles southeast of the quake's epicenter -- told CNN. "The computer was shaking on top of my desk."
The 18 quakes that followed Friday's moderate one have been minor earthquakes -- magnitude 3.9 and below.
Friday's quake was the strongest to hit in the region in 40 years.
