Actor Bob Delegall dead at age 60

VENICE, Calif., March 31 (UPI) -- Actor, director, playwright and acting teacher Bob Delegall has died in Venice, Calif., at age 60, it was reported Friday.

The cause of Delegall's March 21 death was not revealed, Daily Variety reported.

Delegall was a familiar face on television, appearing in Hallmark Hall of Fame's "Jane Doe" series, "The Agency," "The Drew Carey Show," "The Twilight Zone," "Hunter," "Matlock", "Good Times" and "Bonanza."

Among his feature films were "The Presidio" and "Sparkle."

He counted Gregory Hines, Malcolm Jamal Warner, Michael O'Keefe and Tyra Banks among his students, and also taught acting at East Lost Angeles College.

Delegall produced and directed episodes of CBS' "The Gregory Hines Show" as well as Showtime's "Linc's," Variety said.

He is survived by his wife, a daughter and a son.
