July 5 (UPI) -- Publisher Activision has teased that future games in the Crash Bandicoot series are a possibility following the recent release of Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy.

"We are experimenting with Crash," Activision publishing CEO Eric Hirshberg said in a new interview with GameIndustry.biz.

"We know there's a vocal fanbase that wanted that to come back. But you never know if that is emblematic of a larger audience or just this niche, nostalgia-based community," he said of N. Sane Trilogy. "So far, we are seeing some real passion for it, so that could lead to other things."

"Of course, we are always trying to find the next big thing. But our first priority is to make sure we are servicing the communities that we are already lucky enough to have," Hirshberg added.

N. Sane Trilogy first announced during Sony's E3 2016 press conference, features revamped versions of Crash's first three games, 1996's Crash Bandicoot, 1997's Crash Bandicoot 2: Cortex Strikes Back and 1998's Crash Bandicoot: Warped.

The title released in June, topped the U.K. game sales chart landing at No. 1 during its first week of release.
