WASHINGTON, Dec. 27 (UPI) -- The reported killing of former Pakistani Prime Minister Benazir Bhutto shows the continued strength of Islamists and paralyzes Pakistan's political system, at least in the short term.
KARACHI, Pakistan, Oct. 21 (UPI) -- Supporters of former Pakistani Prime Minister Benazir Bhutto reportedly rampaged through Karachi, forcing shops to close.
KARACHI, Pakistan, Oct. 19 (UPI) -- Former Pakistani Prime Minister Benazir Bhutto blamed followers of Mohamed Zia al-Haq, the man who ousted her father, for a deadly attack on her convoy.
WASHINGTON, Sept. 27 (UPI) -- The United States seems to have finally decided that Pakistan needs more democracy and hopes the forthcoming elections will not bring religious extremists to power.
