Analysis: Iran's energy industry seeks cash foreign investment
WASHINGTON, Nov. 26 (UPI) -- Nearly 30 years of U.S. sanctions have left Iran's energy industry in a parlous state. Speaking at the opening ceremony of the first National Stakeholder System Development Congress in Oil Industry, Iran's Deputy Oil Minister Hamdollah Mohammadnejad candidly stated that Iran needs foreign investment of $14 billion annually over the next decade to sustain and improve its energy infrastructure.
