During full military burial honors for Adm. Thomas H. Moorer at Arlington National Cemetery, Mrs. Carrie Moorer receives the National Ensign from retired Vice Adm. Joe P. Moorer, Adm. MoorerÕs surviving brother, on February 20, 2004. Adm. Moorer is a graduate of the Naval Academy class of1933 and went on to served as the Chief of Naval Operations from 1967-1970, whereupon he was appointed Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, a post he held until his retirement in 1974.
