Thomas Everett Scott (born September 7, 1970) is an American film, theatre and television actor. His film work includes a starring role as drummer Guy Patterson in the film That Thing You Do! (1996).

Scott was born in East Bridgewater, Massachusetts, to an insurance salesperson mother, Cindy, and a civil engineer father, Bill. He attended Syracuse University in Syracuse, New York.

His first notable role was appearing as Matthew on the television situation comedy Grace Under Fire (1995–1997). He played the title character's out-of-wedlock son, whom she had given up for adoption.
