Robert Thomson is a round the world cyclist, yachter and longboarder from New Zealand. Beginning in July 2006, he travelled 12,000 kilometres across Asia and Europe from Fukuoka, Japan, to Switzerland by recumbent bicycle, then travelled on to London, England by skateboard. He is now (October 2008) in New Zealand, having completed an unassisted journey of just over 12,000 kilometres across Europe, North America and China by skateboard. His journey is under consideration for the Guinness World Record in long-distance skateboarding.
