NYC MAYOR MIKE BLOOMBERG ATTENDS POLITICAL CONFERENCE IN LOS ANGELES

New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg (R) and Los Angeles Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa (L) are joined by actress Angelica Huston and her husband, sculptor Robert Graham during a reception to kick off the University of Southern California Annenberg School's Center on Communication Leadership conference "Ceasefire! Bloomberg called for reversing America's "wrong-headed course" and healing Washington's partisan gashes on a day he also sidestepped questions about whether he might enter the 2008 presidential race. Although on the sidelines in the 2008 contest, the Republican mayor delivered a stinging critique of politics-as-usual Monday that echoed assessments heard along the campaign trail: political bickering has knotted government and left the nation's future in jeopardy.
